Whoopi Golberg believes Hitler was holy...

.. when she says, "Hitler was Christian"!...

Why is it that people use the expression, "If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck,.. it's a duck"!

And yet, they don't want to use that same formula to know what a true Christian is. I mean, it's pretty easy to define a person (on a human level) by their actions.

A person isn't a Christian because they identify themselves as one - but because they live according to God's Word, The Bible.

A profession of faith might be all you need for other religions but NOT for True Christianity.
This is why the argument that Christians were part of the Inquisition, Crusades, American slavery, etc. has never worked because none of that can be justified in New Testament teaching. Lame arguments use these historical items against Christianity when found in scripture but those arguments fall flat when we see that the mere mention of certain historical events in the Bible does not equate with how the new covenant mandates us to live today as Christ followers.

If Christians are supposed to be "Christ-followers", and Goldberg calls Hitler a Christian, then she's basically saying that Hitler was "Christ-like"... and she just blasphemed the name of Christ.  Because what identifies a Christian is HOW they live, NOT solely what they profess.

Jesus said, "You'll know them by their fruits".  It helps to know about the Godly fruits that define a child of God by way of knowing scripture because the Bible lays them out pretty clearly on what the fruits of the Spirit are.  And these fruits of the Spirit of God define Jesus' character:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law".- Galatians 5:22-23

YET, people like whoopi Goldberg say dumb things like, "Hitler was a Christian".
When Goldberg and people like her say things like that they put over their heads the condemnation that comes on people who blaspheme God's name and character, and falsely accuse the children of The Most High. It's not very wise to align oneself with the judgement that has fallen on all those who by that same manner have bared false witness on God's martyred saints throughout history.

"It's a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the Living God".
The persecution of the saints which we see going on all over the world today and for 2 thousand years, always starts with disparaging, and then all- out calling "good evil and evil good".

God says, "Woe to you who put light for darkness and darkness for light"!
Those that bare the name of Christ ARE NOT those who simply profess to be one with Christ, but those who DO THE WILL OF GOD AND KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD. And "You'll know them by their fruits"...

Jesus said, "Why do you call me Lord, and NOT do what I say"?
The Apostle James said, "Be DOERS of the Word and not hearers only".
It's clear, You're not in Christ by profession alone but by being a physical witness of Him who empowers us to live according to His will through the power of His Holy Spirit (John 3:3)
.
Woe to those who incite violence against the saints of God by baring false witness against them! "REPENT, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand"!

The right foundation...

Worldly believers:

At some point within your religious/carnal perspective on life, you're going to run into the conflict of reconciling your faith to your actual life, and then find yourself questioning the sincerity of your faith to your level of hypocrisy.

"Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock. And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof."

Matthew Chapt. 7

ONE CHANCE - ONE LIFE:

The Bible says, "NOW is the day of salvation"!

It talks about a specific time of ones TIME to believe.  We not perceive when that time is for us, but the Bible teaches that this time to REPENT and call out to God is limited.

Luke Chapter 16:

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “There was a rich man who was clothed in epurple and fine linen and fwho feasted sumptuously every day.20 And at his gate gwas laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,21 who desired to be fed with hwhat fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores.22 The poor man died and was carried by ithe angels jto Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried,23 and in kHades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and lsaw Abraham far off and Lazarus jat his side. 24 And he called out, m‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and ncool my tongue, for oI am in anguish in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that pyou in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’ 27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house—28 for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham said, ‘They have qMoses and the Prophets; rlet them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, sfather Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear qMoses and the Prophets, tneither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’"
