It is true that even though Obama is out of Washington, still, in the states there are severe issues and evil embedded on the local level with regard to this diabolical social push into cultural madness.  And it truly is "madness"!  It's grounded in the most deceptive, dark and backwards anarchy/evil ever seen in our culture.  The thought that people of renown: professionals, smart people, supreme court judges, lawyers, professors, educators, medical doctors, philosophers, etc., can endorse such unscientific and irrational BS!   It blows your mind.   How can anyone consider these things unless they have a grounding and understanding of supernatural warfare detailed within the Holy Scriptures????    And there's no debating going on w/ regard to these matters.... they just expect people to swallow this craziness whole...

This is the "aha" for anyone who understands Biblical truth!  For years, we've read the Bible, and it details this very type of evil and Hell-bound heart depravity, and people - believers take it as truth by faith.  But today, these things are ever before us, with NO denial or ambiguity.  But those that are being led to the slaughter and are perishing aren't going to see the Bible literally unfold before their eyes!  

The accounts of Noah, Soddam and Gomorrah, Jonah, Revelation, Romans chapt. 1, "The Day of the Lord", (wherever it's mentioned in the OT/NT, etc.

Yet believers have for themselves the proof of our Lord's Words come to fruition w/in our very own lifetime.  WHAT-THE-HELL!!!.... LOL.... It blows me away!

Along with the elements of evil growing in aggressiveness to push on these God-resisting and blasphemous campaigns, there's also another element, just as evil which SILENCES those who SEE these things growing.  There are always people who recognize with these evils and are supposed to stand for truth, but allow themselves to deny Christ and the truth, just like Peter denied Christ. Because they don't have a God-saving love of the truth, they give in to cowardice and end up denying Christ.

It doesn't matter if they see the tide rising above their children's schools or future; it doesn't matter that they see how these evils are taking influence w/in the culture everywhere imaginable, they will not be moved from their "safe spaces", and their comfortable self-righteous positions within their religious comfort zones.    "They give hearty approval" with their silence and with the critique of the church for standing up to these cultural anomalies.  

It's extremely sad.   Because when that tidal wave comes, THEY TOO will be washed away in the most brutal and forsaking way.  

They will be the ones hearing Christ say, "I don't know you... get away from me with your lawlessness"!  

How scary and sad is that???    "Those who deny me in this wicked and adulterous generation, I will deny...".

SAD and SCARY indeed!   Because The Bible speaks how the cowardly will be damned.   To be cowardly is to have NO faith ....and "True faith knows no fear".

We're never going to stop having problems but how God handles our personal issues is HIS grace, His decision, His sovereignty... It's only as important as WE are important... and honestly, with regard to eternal things, we're not very important.   But the Gospel and His will IS important.  

IN FACT, only what's for the Kingdom is what's truly important...not what we are momentarily dealing with.  All that we're dealing with is the course of life... 

life, death, taxes, suffering, dancing, joy, pain, laughter, responsibilities, goals, set backs, recreation, vacations, playtime, bills, milestones, etc., etc.  

So the worst thing we can do is get too boggled down ON US when there are more important (and eternal ) Spiritual things to deal with.  

We are to "Be about our Father's business", not our own.

And although, God is "involved in the affairs of men"; Although God does know "When even a sparrow falls from the sky"; Although God does "Number the hairs on our heads".... Still...

We have to give all those things over to Him, and then wait on Him for the answers and for Him to provide.   The Lord was clear; "Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of Heaven, and all these things will be added unto you".

There's no greater way to prove your faith in Him than to lay your problems before the "Throne of Grace", and move on in faith.

It doesn't mean that we become uncaring about our personal responsibility to ourselves and others.   If anything, it empowers our clear thinking in order to better serve ourselves and others.

Because worry has never added an inch to anyone's stature.

The argument for Jesus' divinity and the skeptics contention that His divinity only came afterwards in time, is ridiculous simply because the concept of Messiah was of the essence of God.  John's Gospel demonstrates this when the Jews were wanting to stone The Lord for as they put it, "Trying to make yourself to be God".   So, there's no question that the understanding of Christ as "Kurios" was not just divine but also, that of God to merit worship. Also, NEVER throughout the whole NT does Jesus REFUSE others worshiping Him.

Dan Wallace pretty much did snag Ehrman on that point when he can't argue for what the NT says by looking at what he hasn't proven yet.  He can claim that there's something that might look diff. in earlier texts by saying "we can't know what is in the earlier texts" but he's just being subjective.  Subjective scholars don't make good scholars.  Besides, Wallace contends that this is part of a duel said of Ehrman where he admits to others that 'what we have is pretty much what was written earlier (in the original writings), yet on his books, he exclaims, "We don't know what the originals look like"!

So far, from what can be suspected about this man first, calling himself a "former" Christian (which is unbiblical) and then progressively becoming more and more a Christ hater - one can determine that he's headed deeper and deeper into darkness w/in his personal life.  B/c you cannot attack the Word of Truth and think it's "just business"... you're dealing with The Word of God!    Perhaps the Spirit of God is dealing w/ him and this man does not want to be judged by his person for doing what he's doing - knowing fully well to the world, that this man is getting paid HUGE money by the fleecing of God's flock.  W/out a doubt, one of the biggest abominations The Lord Himself mentioned when He walked the earth was condemning those who would "offend any of those little ones from believing" in The Lord.  Oh man... without a doubt, Ehrman is headed for some serious wrath.  You can only watch in fear and trembling for this man b/c the curse of God is heavy upon him.  Lord have mercy.

-For Ehrman to say, "We don't have the originals" is to contend that the will of God was for us to have the originals.  So when the prophesy was being spread by word of mouth (as we see in Judaism), are we to say that we NEED to hear the original audio from the first prophet's mouth who spoke those words??  NO!   This is not how God intended for us to get His Word down to us.  God has used the copying method to bring to us only a snippet of His revelation to us.  As it's written, "The hidden things are of God and the revealed things are for us and our children so that we can what's written w/in the law", and down to the following generations.

What we know NOW, we know that despite approximately 400k variants w/in the collection of scripture that only 1% of that troubles the understanding of the message w/in Christianity in our modern day AND of that 1%, there is NOTHING that contradicts any of our important doctrines w/in the faith.   If that's not scrutiny, I don't know what it is.

We might have a gap of perhaps 800 years (from Christ's days to the first full codex copies of the NT) and based on the variants that we have regarding what we do have, we can expect that there will be even far less meaningful/viable variants w/ anything w/in those 800 years span between the original writers and our complete manuscripts.

There is more volume and information to take from the NT than from any other manuscripts found in ancient antiquity.  So if we can't know or have faith w/in the NT, we truly can't rely on any other information coming from Greek, Latin or Roman history.  And yet we have continued to build our civilization and societies on the mathematics, philosophy, the legal and societal ethics found w/in ancient antiquity, etc.

If we can't know what the NT authors said then we truly can't know what anyone has said or thought in ancient history b/c we have over 1000 times more detail and information on the NT than for anything in ancient antiquity.  ********

*** This is what brought us out of the dark ages b/c we could look back and what all those authors wrote about their civilizations, and we learned from them, etc.  And we for SURE didn't have any original writings there either!

- The 40 Martyrs of Saveste:

It was one of the strangest episodes in all of military and Christian history--an army killing its own best soldiers. The time: A.D. 320. The place: Sevaste, in present-day Turkey. The issue: Would Christian soldiers obey and bow to pagan gods?

Corroborated by at least 3 ancient authors in history; one of which lived during the time of the death of these soldiers who would not bow their knee to pagan roman gods.   What's not very understood is why Christians were fighting as soldiers at this time.  Did they convert while they were already soldiers?.... This is not known.
