Our prison system something to joke about -

From the above Yahoo article (click on title link):

" A convicted murderer on death row in North Carolina wrote a taunting letter to his hometown newspaper about his life of "leisure" in prison and making a mockery of the legal system. "

"Is the public aware that I am a gentleman of leisure, watching color TV in the A.C., reading, taking naps at will, eating three well balanced hot meals a day," Hembree asked in the letter. "I'm housed in a building that connects to the new 55 million dollar hospital with round the clock free medical care 24/7."

He also asks if the public knows that the chances of his "lawful murder" taking place in the next 20 years, if ever, are "very slim."

I get so frustrated when I hear about the tons of cases that seem to have really weird conviction penalties.  Different states have different penalties for different types of crimes.  It's not uncommon to hear about career crimminals getting off on technicalities and sometimes the laws seem to protect the crimminals rather than the victims.    Because human justice is "relative" justice, it'll always be hard for us to know what is just.  But God's laws are based on his sovereign judgment and is all perfect. His laws are the same today, tomorrow and always.  When a crimminal gets away with a crime here on earth, he'll get his just punishment in due time, and there's no escaping God's judgements.   The Bible states that even our thoughts and intentions will be judged.

The Bible states:   " It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God".
